Amok National Khmer Food of Cambodia


Amok is a national Khmer food of kingdom Cambodia and a very popular food for tourist.
Amok made from fish, coconut milk, and curry past. How to cook Amok food?




First, prepare all ingredient then clean fish (It can be Snakehead murrel fish or Giant snakehead fish ). After that mix all ingredient and fish together then put it on banana leaf. Next, top up the coconut cream on it then steam.


Normally, it serve with a dish of rice and some vegetable on the side such as cucumber, young banana, long been, Chinese cabbage, eggplant, tomato... etc. It depend on which vegetable do you like.




Tourist can find Amok dish in some restaurants in Cambodia such as Malis restaurant, Khmer Surin restaurant, restaurant in Sofitel hotel, restaurant in Rafle Le Royal hotel, and many other restaurants in Cambodia.

 Eating a good food provide you a good health!
